Formerly a manager of UI development for the forex trading platform Currenex, at State Street Global Markets, Patrick refocused his career on early social virtual reality development, joining AltspaceVR in 2015. Today he is a Principal Engineer at Microsoft.

Patrick is a sci-fi author and the editor of thearcologychannel.org. He is working to promote the benefits of combining the best of green cities, intentional villages, green economics, direct democracy, permaculture and renewables in addressing and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
